Your right
You confirm, before any byte is stored, that you may modify the software. The service is not for stripping a license you do not hold.
A failed scan
If ClamAV reports a signature, times out, or cannot be reached, the upload is deleted. protect_cli does not run. You are not charged.
Before you upload
RightsWho may upload a zip?
Only software you wrote, or software you are licensed to modify and distribute. You confirm that right before the upload starts. byteaka is not for stripping someone else’s license, and it is not for hiding malware.
ScannerWhat if a signature matches?
ClamAV runs on the zip, then again on every extracted file, and only then does protect_cli run. A match deletes the upload. Nothing is stamped and you are not charged.
OutageWhat if the scanner is down?
If ClamAV cannot be reached, times out, or returns an error, the job stops. The bytes are deleted. protect_cli does not run and nothing is offered for download.
DownloadWho can fetch the file?
The download is not a secret link. It answers only when the same account that uploaded is logged in, and only after Stripe confirms a five-dollar payment. A logged-out visitor, or a different account, gets an empty page.
StampWhich flags does the service pass?
The server runs protect_cli on the extracted folder with --out-dir, --json, --no-backup, and --stamp. It does not pass --vm, --pack, --force, or the other evasion and anti-analysis flags. Signed files the tool refuses stay refused.
SizeHow large can the zip be?
Up to 2GB, sent in 24MB pieces, because the tunnel in front of the site cannot take one huge request. It must be a real zip. Paths that try to leave the job folder are rejected.
Bring the zip
Log in, confirm you have the right, and send the archive in 24 megabyte pieces.
